Lawyer Office Maruta&Wachta
Warszawa 2015
This is the first office space project in our portfolio. We were lucky because the clients rented an office in an unusual building called UFFICIO PRIMO, formerly the Government Presidium Office Building - a historic office building located at 62 Wspólna Street in Warsaw. It represents modernist historicism and refers to the Italian Renaissance.

The building was designed by Marek Leykam, and J. Dowgiałło was responsible for the construction. The project was presented at an exhibition at Zachęta in 1950. The building was intended to form part of a planned ministry district as a "power palace". It was supposed to connect with the former Main Railway Station (later: Warszawa Śródmieście).
The office building was built around 1952, intended for the seat of the Presidium of the Government of Bolesław Bierut. However, he held this position for only a few meetings, until 1953. Later, design offices were located there.
