The transformation of an urban plot into a monolithic sanctuary for a large family. This three-story residence bridges the monumental language of modernism with the subtle, tactile textures of the Silk Road. Designed to offer absolute privacy within a vibrant metropolis, the villa is a delicate balance of solid masonry and ethereal, shifting light. Every detail was meticulously crafted by NOKE Architects to create a domestic harbor that feels both grounded and transcendental.
Modern life often requires a profound retreat from the city’s constant pace. The heart of this square-plan residence is a sculptural circular staircase, illuminated by a skylight inspired by the ancient geometry of Central Asian temples. While the street-facing facade uses a perforated brick screen to filter the external world, the house opens entirely to a private garden on the opposite side. Inside, a secluded spa adorned with turquoise tiles—a vibrant tribute to the heritage of its owners—creates a space where contemporary living finds its roots in timeless traditions.
