A PLACE THAT CATCHES THE EYE
The design process occurs on two levels. The first depends on objective conditions – the historic architecture of the MDM district, while the second is all about subjective impressions - Tyrmand’s nightlife energy, jazz, and a tiger-infused twist. The resulting atmosphere emerges from a dialogue between preserved heritage elements - monumental stone walls, restored terrazzo, original salvaged doors and new interventions.
To push the storytelling further, NOKE acted as a full-service creative agency, developing the entire project identity, naming, and artistic vision. We invited artist Ola Niepsuj to translate these historical references into a cohesive graphic and decorative language that extends from the architecture into branding, menus and custom textiles.

Every detail follows the narrative. The composition of the wall bas-relief features tigers playing musical instruments - a direct nod to the location's past as an iconic music store. The story continues with a bespoke tiger-shaped door handle, graphic upholstery and a VIP room defined by deep green walls and a ceremonial dining table. Even the bathrooms contribute to the experience, inspired by the colours of a tiger’s jaw - wine, blood and deep reds, complemented by a sharp zigzag accent.
